Project Runway: Junior + Let Girls Learn = MAJOR WIN!

As a lover of all things design, creativity, & artistic expression... I'm kind of IN LOVE with Project Runway, a reality competition show in which top fashion designers from around the country compete in challeges for some HUGE recognition and a big money cash prize to be awarded in the end. I've been watching it for yearssss, it's fantastic.

And nowww, Lifetime has come out with Project Runway: Junior! Same concept, except the contestants range in age from 13-17. Incredible!

Speakng of incredible... last night's episode! YAS!

It was all about Let Girls Learn: "Educating girls is essential to healthy and thriving communities but, globally, 62 million girls are not in school. Let Girls Learn will address that challenge by empowering local leaders to put in place lasting solutions to lower barriers to girls’ education. Peace Corps Volunteers who live and work at the grassroots level will serve as catalysts of community-led change, and every American can get involved and make a difference. Learn more & how you can help."

The winner of the challenge on last night's episode was Peytie, a 15 year old beach girl from California. The prize for winning her challenge was the opportunity to design a backback for Lands End, in support of Let Girls Learn, an inititative championed on the show by FLOTUS herself!

So, Peytie was on her to way to design the backpack of ALL backpacks!

The final product is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and go to support education of young girls world wide... it doesn't get much better than that, friends. Do us ALL a favor & get yourself or your little munchkins one of these backpacks... educating girls will change the world! BUY HERE!
