The series isn’t just shots from politics, it also shows photos from other arenas like entertainment to drive home the point that women are not equally represented in major fields and this is a situation that needs to change, like, yesterday. That’s why Elle UK is using this series to launch their campaign #MoreWomen, which calls for greater equality in positions of power and calls upon women to support each other as we work to balance the scales.“
There are too many instances where women are represented by a single female. In business, music, art and media, women rarely outnumber men,” Elle’s cultural director Lena de Casparis said in a statement. “There is room for more of us at the top. One woman’s success makes every woman stronger.”
