Kids Redefining Cool
#1- I'm slightly UHB-SESSED with Ellen DeGeneres.
And now THIS!
Ellen DeGeneres's clothing, home furnishings, & accessories line, ED, has partnered with GapKids & a few incredible girls to create something awesome - GapKids X ED, "a collaboration dedicated to supporting girls just how they are, whether they skateboard or dance, wear dresses or jeans, build forts or paint rainbows, or everything in between. [This campaign] encourages girls everywhere to take pride in what makes them unique." These particular girls just happen to be a gang of pink helmet wearing, skateboard riding, entrepreneurs, musicians, & engineers. AMAZING!
“Gap has always encouraged people to be themselves, and I love that they have the same values that I have: to be true to who you are and to wear cute pants,” Degeneres joked. “I know from own experience that nothing makes you feel better than being who you are and celebrating what makes you unique. I think if we shine a light on real girls doing incredible things, that’ll encourage other girls and boys to do incredible things, and that’ll encourage even more people to do incredible things, and eventually the world will be a more incredible place.”
"The campaign – featuring 'inspiring real-life girls' including pro-skateboarders, a young entrepreneur, a professional drummer, and even a 9-year-old engineer of prosthetic hands-urges children to take selfies in the collection and share words of strength and encouragement with their contemporaries around the world."
Let's hope the kids XL sizes fit me, because I'm BUYING ALL OF THIS.
